LAWRENCE, N.Y. – Victor A. Rosenberg, MD, a Board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with more than 11 years of experience caring for patients on Long Island, has opened Rosenberg Maternal-Fetal Medicine, P.C., a private practice dedicated to high-risk pregnancy consultations and prenatal ultrasound. The new office is located at 625 Rockaway Turnpike, Suite 2 in Lawrence.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to provide patients with the sophisticated and innovative care they require during complicated pregnancies, in a personalized, convenient and patient-centered environment,” said Dr. Rosenberg.
Dr. Rosenberg will work consultatively with primary obstetricians to manage the full range of high-risk pregnancy conditions, including preeclampsia, genetic abnormalities, gestational diabetes, multiples, and maternal health issues that may complicate pregnancy. He offers special expertise in recurrent pregnancy loss and prior adverse outcomes. In addition, he and his staff specialize in routine and high-risk prenatal ultrasounds and offer a range of sophisticated ultrasound imaging, including 3D/4D, to precisely identify prenatal conditions.
“It is important for women to know that if there are any concerns during their pregnancies, they are entitled and encouraged to seek a second opinion from a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist,” said Dr. Rosenberg. “My office is happy to work with patients to help obtain any prior insurance authorizations necessary and to provide second opinions.”
The office is also available to accept patients referred by their obstetricians for specialized testing and/or management of complex pregnancies.
Dr. Rosenberg is a graduate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to launching his private practice, he was Associate Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, where he also served as Director of the High-Risk Pregnancy Consultative Program and Director of the Center for Thrombophilia and Adverse Outcomes in Pregnancy. He was also Assistant Professor in the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead.
Dr. Rosenberg is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is the author or co-author of numerous articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed publications, and he has given dozens of lectures and presentations to professional groups throughout the region.
